My movies aren't syncing to my iphone?

The movie shows up and plays on the movie section of itunes. When i connect my phone and it starts to sync and i go to the movie tab I check the box next to a movie. When I do the memory meter at the bottom moves to the right showing that once added thi smovie will add to the total memory. but the movie itself does not sync. What do I do?
