Is it wrong that I don't tip anyone in California?

I go out to eat a lot, order pizza, have my hair cut, etc. Usually things that people tip for. However, I don't really tip because the people get paid hourly wage. Unless the service is outstanding above and beyond what I would consider normal and required, I don't tip. I live in California, where tipped employees are still required to be paid minimum wage ($8/hour here) regardless of the tips they make. If I lived in another state like Texas where they are paid 2-something an hour, of course I would tip! But I just don't see the point in California since they make minimum wage to do their job, and unless it is completely outstanding, I don't tip. I know tipping is the normal thing to do, but it's also the normal thing for employers to underpay employees who generally make their wages off of tips.... but not in California. So is it acceptable for me to not tip in California because of this? I worked as a waitress before and got minimum wage, and then plus tips I actually made like $250 a shift, kinda a lot in my opinion.
