What would be a fair hourly fee for babysitting/preschool in Mississippi?

I live in Mississippi and will have an elementary education degree, but I want to have this to fall back on since jobs are so scarce these days. I also have the crazy dream to start a preschool while babysitting (not sure if an elementary degree would be adequate or if I need an early childhood degree). Anyways, I know based on where I live, the fee would be toward the lower end of the spectrum. I was thinking charging 6-7 dollars an hour, but when I added it up per day per week, it just seems so much...what would you be willing to pay per hour? per day? or per week? I understand different people will have different days they need a sitter and I'm accounting for five full days which is not likely to be the case with every child, but I just want to be fair about the price.
